Jeongseon’s “Korean Traditional Music Girl” Shin Jeongin Wins Grand Prize in Student Division at Guri National Gyeongseodo Folk Song Contest
Shin Jeongin, a third-year student at Sabuk Middle School, known as the "Korean Traditional Music Girl" of Jeongseon, won the Grand Prize in the student division at the 21st Guri National Gyeongseodo Folk Song Contest.
This competition was held on December 7 at the main auditorium of Guri City Hall, hosted by the Guri branch of the Korean Traditional Music Association. Students from across the country participated and competed passionately.
Shin Jeongin captivated both the judges and the audience with her outstanding vocal performance of the Gyeonggi folk song "Jebiga," earning enthusiastic applause. She was selected for the highest award in the student division, the Grand Prize, and received the Governor of Gyeonggi Province Award.

Furthermore, Shin Jeongin has consistently demonstrated her talent in Korean traditional music by winning various national competitions. Building on these achievements, she was admitted this year to the folk song department at the National High School of Traditional Arts.
