Hallym University 'FC-13' Awards 1.5 Million Won Scholarships to Six Kyrgyzstani Students
Fantastic Chuncheon-13 (hereafter FC-13), composed of 13 faculty members from Hallym University (President Choi Yanghee) and local figures from Chuncheon, held a scholarship award ceremony on Wednesday, December 10 in the main conference room of the university headquarters, presenting a scholarship of 1.5 million won to six international students from Kyrgyzstan who entered Hallym University for the second semester of the 2025 academic year.

View original imageThe ceremony was attended by three key members of FC-13-Lee Sungyong, Professor at Ilsong Liberal Arts College of Hallym University; Jeong Hosoon, Vice President of the Hallym University Alumni Association; and Noh Seungman, Director of the Future Gangwon Research Institute-as well as university officials including An Jeonghyeon, Deputy Director of External Cooperation, Jeong Seunghwa, Director of C&K Edu Consulting, and the six scholarship recipients.
This FC-13 scholarship for international students was established not only to support and encourage global talent, but also to recognize the efforts and passion these students have shown in their academic achievements and in adapting to both the local community and campus life.
The six Kyrgyzstani students who received the scholarship-Abdirashitova Latifa, Ernisova Asiia, Mamyrbekova Aimira, Srazhidinov Saidafzal, Zhumabaeva Asema, and Ryskulova Asema-have actively participated in various settlement programs for international students offered by the university since their admission, demonstrating stable adjustment and vibrant engagement in campus activities.
Furthermore, in October, they advanced as a team to the finals of the "2025 Korean Language Speech Contest for Foreigners in Sejong," where they won the Excellence Award in the youth division, showcasing outstanding language skills and teamwork.
Lee Sungyong, Professor at Ilsong Liberal Arts College of Hallym University and member of FC-13 who presented the scholarship, remarked, "I was deeply impressed by how quickly the students adapted and how responsibly they participated in activities despite being in an unfamiliar environment. I hope this scholarship will help the students grow even further."
The university believes that this scholarship award is more than just financial support; it will serve as a meaningful stepping stone for students to gain new vitality in their university life in Korea and to further expand their capabilities through various activities.

At the scholarship award ceremony, Abdirashitova Latifa, speaking on behalf of the scholarship recipients, expressed her gratitude, saying, "Thanks to the encouragement from the university and FC-13, I have gained the courage to pursue new challenges and achievements not only in my studies but also in various activities both on and off campus."
