Hyundai Glovis Shares Warmth with Elderly Living Alone for Year-End
Donated Kimchi to Welfare Centers
Hyundai Glovis announced on December 10 that, to mark the end of the year, it directly visited the homes of elderly people living alone in the Nangok-dong area of Gwanak-gu, Seoul, delivering winter support items and providing companionship volunteer services.
On December 9, the employee volunteer group delivered winter goods such as scarves, as well as ready-to-eat and instant foods, to 400 households of elderly people living alone in Gwanak-gu, checking on their well-being and engaging in warm conversations. The company also donated kimchi for the winter to the Seongsu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center in Seongsu, where its headquarters is located. This kimchi will be distributed to 200 households in need of care.
Hyundai Glovis has been fulfilling its corporate social responsibility through a variety of community engagement activities. In June, the company ran a 'Safety Experience Class' at Seoul Grand Park in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, to raise safety awareness among children. In April, it organized a spring outing event for elderly residents of Seongdong-gu, Seoul, in Seongsu-dong.

An official from Hyundai Glovis who participated in the volunteer activities said, "It is meaningful to be able to share a bit of warmth with our neighbors at the end of the year. Although I participated in the volunteer program for just one day, spending warm moments with grandmothers and grandfathers made me feel comforted, and it was valuable to reflect on the neighbors around us who need help."
