The total score is calculated by combining 10 main evaluation indicators, 9 monitoring items, 3 bonus point items, and 2 penalty items, and institutions are classified into five grades: S, A, B, C, and others.
Dongnam Institute of Radiological & Medical Sciences achieved perfect scores in most categories and received additional bonus points, earning a total score of 100.7. This ranks the institution 15th nationwide, placing it within the top 2% of participating organizations.
Head Nurse Jang Heesoon stated, "The institute cares for many cancer patients and those with high severity, making the operation of the integrated nursing care service particularly challenging. Nevertheless, we have operated all wards as integrated service wards, striving to reduce the burden of care costs for patients and provide high-quality nursing services. Achieving the highest grade is the result of these efforts."
Since introducing the integrated nursing care service in December 2017, Dongnam Institute of Radiological & Medical Sciences has gradually expanded the program, converting all wards to integrated service wards within five years.
Based on this achievement and its operational capabilities, the institute has been reselected as a "Second Phase Panel Hospital for Integrated Nursing Care Service." Panel hospitals are exemplary institutions designated to provide policy advice and contribute to system improvements, directly participating in on-site evaluations and discussions for improvement.
