View original imageHwasun Chonnam National University Hospital, the designated regional medical institution for Jeollanam-do, announced on December 7 that it recently held the '2025 2nd External Representative Council' to address disparities in regional and essential medical services and to strengthen public healthcare.
The council was attended by a total of 14 participants, including Hospital Director Min Jungjun, Deputy Director Kang Hocheol, Director of Public Health and Medical Projects Kwon Sunseok, as well as the heads of the Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Center for Gwangju and Jeollanam-do, and the Director of the Gokseong-gun Health Center.
The attendees shared updates on the operation of the 'Public Health and Medical Cooperation System Establishment' project, listened to presentations on directions for integrated support in healthcare and caregiving, and discussed future action plans.
Kwon Sunseok, Director of Public Health and Medical Projects, introduced the project to strengthen emergency medical response capabilities in vulnerable areas of Jeollanam-do and outlined the direction for key projects in 2026, followed by a session for exchanging opinions with other attendees.
Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital fulfills its role as a regional medical institution by working to improve regional and essential medical issues and strengthen public healthcare. Its initiatives include linking discharged patients with community resources, cooperating on the transfer and treatment of severe emergency cases, managing infection and patient safety, and collaborating on mental health promotion projects.
