Pocheon City to Conduct Second Half of 2025 Crackdown on Illegal Distribution of Pocheon Sarang Gift Certificates
Pocheon City in Gyeonggi Province will conduct the "Second Half of 2025 Illegal Distribution Crackdown" on Pocheon Sarang Gift Certificate merchants from December 8 to December 12.
This inspection aims to create a sound distribution environment for local currency and enhance consumer trust.
The main inspection items include: cases where gift certificates are processed as payments without actual sales or service provision; circumstances where there is suspicion of excessive use of gift certificates compared to actual sales; refusal to accept gift certificate payments without valid reasons; and refusal or failure to issue mandatory cash receipts when payment is made with gift certificates.
If illegal distribution is detected, administrative measures such as cancellation of merchant registration and fines may be imposed in accordance with the Act on the Promotion of the Use of Local Love Gift Certificates.
If there are any signs of suspected illegal distribution of local currency, they should be reported to the "Illegal Distribution Reporting Center."
