Gyeonggi Fire Department to Significantly Increase Fire Safety Priority Management Targets to 1,331 Locations
The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters will significantly increase the number of 'Fire Safety Priority Management Targets' to 1,331 locations next year.
Fire Safety Priority Management Targets are designated among specific fire safety facilities that are at high risk of extensive damage in the event of a disaster, taking into account factors such as fire history, fire protection systems, and building characteristics.
The Fire and Disaster Headquarters has included 690 mandatory designated locations-such as large buildings, medical facilities, and lodging facilities, as required by law-and 641 sites such as factories, warehouses, and retail facilities, which were selected through risk assessment, as priority management targets for next year.
In particular, reflecting recent large-scale fire incidents, all 51 data centers in the province have been designated as priority management targets. Additionally, 18 battery-related facilities and 6 shared personal mobility charging stations have also been included in the management list.
