Jangsu County Accepting Applications for ‘Future-Oriented Multi-Axis Apple Orchard Establishment Project’
Applications Accepted Until December 19
"Responding to Changing Agricultural Conditions"
Jangsu County in North Jeolla Province is accepting applications for the ‘2026 Future-Oriented Multi-Axis Apple Orchard Establishment Project’ until December 19.
According to the county on December 3, this project is a key support initiative aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of Jangsu apples and responding to the changing agricultural environment. High interest from local farmers is anticipated.
The future-oriented multi-axis orchard is a new cultivation model that dramatically improves orchard structure, reduces labor requirements, and increases work efficiency and harvest stability.
In particular, the project is drawing attention for its potential to establish a sustainable foundation for apple cultivation amid increasing agricultural burdens caused by abnormal weather and the accelerating aging of rural communities.
Through this project, the county aims to gradually expand future-oriented orchards equipped with high-quality apple production systems and promote structural improvements in the local apple industry, which is a representative crop of the region.
Applications can be submitted in person at the local township or town agricultural counseling offices within Jangsu County, or at the Technology Distribution Division of the Agricultural Technology Center. Interested farmers must review the official announcement and submit the following documents: ▲ Project application form ▲ Project plan ▲ Supporting documents related to additional points on the selection criteria table.
The county plans to select recipients by comprehensively reviewing the appropriateness of the project, the applicant's commitment to agricultural management, and the feasibility of implementation based on the submitted documents.
County Governor Choi Hunsik stated, “With the recent impacts of abnormal weather and aging, reducing production costs and establishing stable production systems for orchard farms have become increasingly important. We will continue to gradually expand future-oriented multi-axis orchards to further enhance the competitiveness of Jangsu apples.”
