Moon Jaeyoung, who will lead 'HD Construction Equipment,' the integrated corporation of HD Hyundai Construction Equipment division launching in January next year, has been appointed as the 16th president of the Korea Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association.

View original imageHD Hyundai Site Solutions announced on the 2nd that President Moon officially took office at the '21st Construction Equipment Day' event held on the previous day, December 1, at the HD Hyundai Global Research & Development (R&D) Center in Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province. The event was attended by over 200 government and industry officials, including Na Seonghwa, Director of Industrial Supply Chain Policy at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and Ahn Chunyeop, Chairman of the Korea Construction Equipment Association. With the launch of the integrated HD Hyundai Construction Equipment corporation approaching, new leadership has been established in the industry.
President Moon began his career at Hyundai Heavy Industries in 1994 and has since served as Executive Vice President and Head of Sales at HD Hyundai Construction Equipment, as well as Vice President and Head of Construction Equipment Business at HD Hyundai Infracore. He has also been nominated as the CEO of 'HD Construction Equipment,' the integrated corporation that will be formed through the merger of HD Hyundai Construction Equipment and HD Hyundai Infracore in January next year.
In his inaugural speech as the new president of the Korea Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association, President Moon stated, "Korea is the world's sixth-largest construction equipment manufacturing powerhouse and possesses sufficient competitiveness in the global market. We will actively support domestic companies' overseas expansion and export growth by securing future technologies that will transform the manufacturing paradigm of construction equipment and by strengthening the competitiveness of small and medium-sized parts suppliers."

Founded in 1994, the Korea Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association has a total of 294 member companies, including seven large corporations such as HD Construction Equipment, 13 medium-sized companies, and 274 small businesses. The association conducts research and studies, formulates policies, and fosters technical talent to advance the construction equipment industry.
