View original imageThe Jeonnam Bio Industry Promotion Agency (Director Yoon Hoyul) announced on December 1 that it received the 2025 Minister of Health and Welfare’s Institutional Commendation for Contributions to the Commercialization of Healthcare Technology in Health Industry Promotion, in recognition of its efforts in commercializing healthcare technology and fostering the bio-health startup ecosystem.
This commendation is a government award presented by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute to institutions and individuals who have contributed to the advancement of the domestic health industry. The Jeonnam Bio Industry Promotion Agency was highly recognized for its achievements in building a technology commercialization support platform, nurturing early-stage startups, and strengthening the competitiveness of the regional bio-health industry.
The agency has been evaluated as having systematically established a foundation for the growth of startups and facilitating the market entry of promising technologies by operating the K-Bio Health Regional Center, providing technology transfer and commercialization consulting, supporting prototype production and clinical linkage, and implementing various support programs.
