The Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign will run for two months under the slogan “Donations That Add Happiness, Transforming Jeonnam Through Giving,” until January 31, 2026.
About 100 people attended the event, including Kim Youngrok, Governor of Jeollanam-do; Kim Taegyun, Chairman of the Jeonnam Provincial Council; Heo Youngho, Chairman of the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea; Kim Daejung, Superintendent of Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education; Mo Sangmyo, Chief of Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency; as well as heads of major organizations and companies.
The event, which began with Governor Kim Youngrok’s “Message of Hope,” proceeded with the presentation of the first donation for the Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign, the induction of new member companies into the Sharing Honor Society, the distribution of funds to support vehicles and heating costs, and concluded with the Love Temperature Raising Performance.
The first donations to the Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign were made by Korea Plant Service & Engineering (KPS) with 500 million won, NH Nonghyup Bank Jeonnam Headquarters with 100 million won, and the Jeonnam Provincial Council with 11 million won, igniting the spirit of sharing among various organizations.
The Love Temperature Tower, which will stand in the provincial office plaza until January 31 of next year, will reach 100°C once the fundraising goal of 11.4 billion won is achieved, symbolizing the warmth of Jeollanam-do’s generosity.
Kim Youngrok, Governor of Jeollanam-do and Honorary Chairman of the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea, stated, “In these challenging times, with economic downturns caused by high prices and high interest rates, and rapidly changing climate conditions, the vulnerable need our attention and support more than ever. I hope that, once again this year, the warm and precious hearts of those who love their neighbors will come together and make the temperature tower boil even hotter.”
