Korea Venture Business Association Selects 12 "Korea Startup Support Excellence Institutions"
Comprehensive Evaluation of Startup Infrastructure and Support Achievements
Outstanding Cases Identified Through On-the-Ground Feedback
On December 1, the Korea Venture Business Association announced the selection of 12 organizations as the "2025 Korea Startup Support Excellence Institutions."
The association stated that it would hold an award ceremony for these outstanding institutions during the eve celebration of the "30th Anniversary of Venture Business" at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas Hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on this day.
Since last year, the association has been selecting startup support excellence institutions to discover and highlight public organizations and government-funded research institutes that have contributed to the development of Korea's startup ecosystem. The purpose is to widely disseminate exemplary cases of startup support and to foster a vibrant culture of venture and startup entrepreneurship.
The selection process comprehensively evaluated the establishment of startup support infrastructure, achievements in supporting the founding and growth of ventures and startups, and efforts to spread entrepreneurial culture. In addition, a separate vote was conducted among ventures and startups to reflect the tangible support outcomes experienced in the field.
This year's selected institutions are: Science and Technology Policy Institute, Korea Technology Finance Corporation, Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, Jeju Free International City Development Center, Korea International Cooperation Agency, Korea Expressway Corporation, Korea Invention Promotion Association, Korea Water Resources Corporation, Korea Food Industry Cluster Promotion Agency, Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning, Korea Creative Content Agency, and Korea Institute of Marine Science & Technology Promotion, totaling 12 organizations.
Among these, Korea Technology Finance Corporation, Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, Jeju Free International City Development Center, Korea Expressway Corporation, Korea Invention Promotion Association, and Korea Institute of Marine Science & Technology Promotion have been selected for two consecutive years since last year.
