Latest Clinical Research Presented at 'TU-OTIF'... Dongmyung University Department of Occupational Therapy Holds First Academic Festival
The Department of Occupational Therapy at Dongmyung University successfully concluded its 1st Academic Festival (TU-OTIF, Occupational Therapy Insight Forum) on November 28, 2025.
Held in Room 106 of the main building, the festival aimed to share the latest trends in clinical research within the field of occupational therapy and to enhance the academic capabilities of current students. The event consisted of two parts: a special lecture in the first part and research presentations in the second part.
In the first part, Lee Jongmin, President of the Korean Society of Model of Human Occupation (MOHO), delivered a special lecture on the topic "Do you know MOHO." In the second part, third-year students presented research papers on a variety of topics, including attachment styles and interpersonal relationships, the effects of puzzle programs, mental health in the elderly, ego-resilience, and happiness. This was followed by a special lecture from Professor Park Yunhee, International Development Committee Member of QABA, on the topic "Understanding Applied Behavior Analysis."
Cho Seunghyun, Head of the Department, stated, "It was a meaningful opportunity for students to develop their research capabilities and engage with professionals. By promoting academic exchange, we will strengthen the sense of community within the department and drive academic advancement."
Professor Cho Mirim emphasized, "Through excellent student presentations and expert lectures, we were able to share the latest trends in the field of occupational therapy. This will serve as a foundation for nurturing outstanding occupational therapy professionals."

More than 20 guests attended the event, including Lee Youngo, President of the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Branch of the Korean Association of Occupational Therapists, Kwon Youngju, President of the Busan Association of Institutions for Child Care for Children with Disabilities, as well as occupational therapists from clinical settings.
The 1st Academic Festival of the Department of Occupational Therapy is being held at Dongmyung University.
