LG Electronics Named "Best TV Brand" by European Consumers
Winner of the "Euroconsumers Awards" in the TV Category
Surpassed 10 Million Units Sold in the European Market
Appealing to European Consumers with High Definition and Fast Response Time
LG Electronics has been selected as the top TV brand by European consumers.
On December 1, LG Electronics announced that it was named the "Best Brand, TV" at the "Euroconsumers Awards 2025," an event that selects the best home appliance brands as chosen by local European consumers. Now in its seventh year, the Euroconsumers Awards selected the best brands in specific categories for the first time this year, and LG Electronics became the inaugural winner in the TV category.
The Euroconsumers Awards is a ceremony co-hosted by consumer media outlets from Belgium, Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Brazil, all members of the International Consumer Research & Testing (ICRT) network, which includes 37 leading consumer media organizations such as Consumer Reports in the United States and Which? in the United Kingdom.
LG Electronics was chosen as the best TV brand after earning high scores both in expert-led product testing and in consumer surveys on satisfaction and trust. The Euroconsumers Awards conducted product evaluations in test labs under strict criteria set by experts, and the average scores were reflected in the selection of winners. To better capture consumer voices, satisfaction and trust surveys were conducted not only in the five member countries but also across Europe, including the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Denmark, Austria, Slovenia, and Hungary.
LG OLED TVs surpassed cumulative sales of 10 million units in the European market this year. After their launch in 2013, LG OLED TVs reached about 5 million cumulative sales by 2021 and have grown rapidly to exceed 10 million units in just four years.
European consumers’ strong preference for high-definition content has led to high ratings for LG OLED TVs. LG Electronics explained that the thin and simple design of OLED TVs, made possible by the absence of a backlight, has also made them popular as interior design elements in Europe, where the living room is the center of home culture. In addition, Europe is a market where sports broadcasts, such as the Premier League, are an integral part of daily life, and the ultra-fast response time and high refresh rates of OLED TVs have satisfied customers’ needs.
