Jangheung County in South Jeolla Province has embarked on expanding its marine tourism infrastructure through private investment.
On the 27th, Jangheung County signed an investment agreement worth 15 billion won with Dong-A Company Co., Ltd. for the development of a marine leisure complex, aiming to accelerate the growth of the local marine tourism industry.

View original imageThe signing ceremony was held in the situation room of the Jangheung County Office, attended by Kim Seong, Governor of Jangheung County, the CEO of Dong-A Company, and other officials from both the county and the company. During the event, they discussed the direction of the project and ways to cooperate. This agreement is considered a strategic move by Jangheung County to expand the foundation for private investment and strengthen its competitiveness in marine tourism, focusing on the marine leisure complex project in the Daeri area of Hoejin-myeon.
Governor Kim Seong stated, "The marine leisure complex is a key project that will lead the future tourism industry of Jangheung County," adding, "We expect this agreement to help vitalize the local economy and expand the tourism infrastructure."
A representative from Dong-A Company said, "We will revitalize the leisure and tourism industry based on Jangheung County's natural environment and create a private investment model that grows together with the region." The representative further explained, "As our first goal, we will promote the development of mooring facilities, cabin hotels, and camping businesses, and plan to expand the project in the future to include cruise operations."
