View original imageIn May of last year, Hyunkyung Park delivered an impressive performance at the World Ladies Championship Salonpas Cup, a major tournament on the Japan Ladies Professional Golf Association (JLPGA) Tour. During the tournament, she received short-term sponsorship. Recognizing Park's talent and character, Hirata Group extended the contract for the remainder of the season, and this time, they have decided to continue the partnership through next year.
Hirata Group is a rare example of a Japanese company sponsoring Korean athletes. Starting with their support of Shin-Ae Ahn, who returned to the JLPGA Tour for the 2024 season, the company has been showing increasing interest in supporting Korean players.
