Hana Bank announced on the 27th that it had signed a "business agreement for the promotion of dementia management projects and the provision of dementia-safe financial support tailored for seniors" with the Seoul Metropolitan Dementia Center at the Hana The Next Euljiro Lounge.
This agreement, which leverages Hana Bank's financial infrastructure and the Seoul Metropolitan Dementia Center's expertise in dementia management, was established to foster a dementia-friendly financial culture by providing dementia education and raising awareness for seniors, as well as offering financial support tailored to each stage of dementia.
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to actively promote dementia education and awareness, support for financial work and asset management for dementia patients and their families, exchanges to strengthen dementia-related work capabilities and mutual understanding among staff, and the discovery of collaborative initiatives to improve dementia awareness.

View original imageIn particular, Hana Bank and the Seoul Metropolitan Dementia Center plan to gradually expand their "dementia-safe financial services tailored for seniors" by operating a Memory Friend Leader training program, jointly developing cognitive health and financial protection programs, providing dementia-safe financial consultations at branches and lounges, and launching campaigns in collaboration with medical and welfare institutions. A Memory Friend refers to a citizen who voluntarily participates to support dementia patients and their families, while a Memory Friend Leader is a general citizen instructor who can foster Memory Friends by sharing dementia-related knowledge and experience with people in their community, workplace, or school.
