View original imageThe meeting was attended by Seongnam Mayor Shin Sangjin, members of the Biohealth Subcommittee of the Special Task Force for the Fourth Industrial City, industry representatives, and others. They shared visions and strategies for the future development of Seongnam's biohealth industry and engaged in Q&A and discussions regarding the research findings.
The main contents of the report included an analysis of domestic and international biohealth industry trends to assess policy demand, as well as a vision for fostering the future biohealth industry and strategic tasks that reflect Seongnam City's strengths as a hub for advanced industries such as ICT and artificial intelligence (AI).
The vision and strategic tasks derived from this research service will be further refined based on the opinions discussed at the meeting and will be used to establish the five-year comprehensive plan for 2026-2030.
Seongnam City has continuously shown interest in and invested in fostering the biohealth industry. This comprehensive plan is also being promoted as a key strategy for the city to become a leader in future growth industries. In particular, Seongnam is developing a "Biohealth Advanced Cluster" in the area of 253 Jeongja-dong (the former Housing Exhibition Hall site, 99,098 square meters) as a next-generation growth engine for the biohealth industry.

Mayor Shin Sangjin stated, "The core of this research service is to systematically and concretely develop policies for fostering the biohealth industry over the next five years and to clarify Seongnam City's vision and strategic tasks. Based on this, we will establish a medium- to long-term roadmap to vitalize the biohealth ecosystem and promote industrial development."
