Dongmyung University Hosts Special Lecture on Mobile Game Publishing
"The final step in game development is publishing. The moment you meet the players is when the real journey begins."
Dongmyung University announced that on November 19, it hosted a special lecture titled "The Completion of a Game: The Moment You Meet the Player," inviting experts from the Busan-based mobile game developer Everstone. The lecture, held for students of the Department of Game Engineering and the Department of Game Graphics, shared the publishing process and industry know-how involved in bringing an actual game to market.
Choi Kyungwook, CEO of Everstone, and programmer Shin Seungyeop led the lecture, focusing on the actual procedures and problem-solving strategies after development. CEO Choi explained, "Publishing encompasses all the processes required to deliver a completed game to players," and systematically introduced practical knowledge such as platform-specific review standards, registration procedures, visual content production, marketing, and user communication.
The lecture also covered frequently encountered cases in the industry, including registration procedures for each platform such as Android, iOS, and Steam, visual content creation for store pages, ASO optimization, and responding to reviews. Students showed keen interest as they acquired practical knowledge immediately applicable to future projects, such as screenshot composition and promotional video production methods.
