GH Produces Korea's First Solar Power Installation Guidelines for Industrial Complex Tenants
On November 27, Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (GH) announced its plan to develop the Yangju Eunnam General Industrial Complex as the "RE100 Industrial Complex in Northern Gyeonggi Province." As part of this initiative, GH has produced South Korea's first "Solar Power Installation Guidelines" specifically for tenant companies in an industrial complex.
This guideline is a practical manual tailored for tenant companies, completed by GH over several months through expert consultation and coordination with Yangju City, Gyeonggi Environmental Energy Agency, tenant companies, and power generation operators. It marks the first case in Korea of establishing a support system for renewable energy adoption at the industrial complex level.
The guideline systematically organizes the entire practical process for achieving RE100, including various solar business models, procedures for obtaining permits for power generation projects, installation standards by structure such as rooftops, and safety and maintenance management plans. It is designed so that even companies new to solar installation can easily understand and apply the information.
A notable feature is that a solar irradiance simulation was conducted for every plot, with a pre-analysis of expected power generation, installation costs, and operating expenses, providing guidance on individual business feasibility by location. This offers a practical foundation for companies to make voluntary and rational decisions regarding renewable energy adoption.
In addition, GH plans to establish and operate a dedicated support center for tenant companies, providing one-stop services such as consultations and technical support.

Simulation results estimate that the annual total power generation for the entire industrial complex will be approximately 94,000 MWh, which is evaluated as the largest among industrial complexes nationwide.
The Yangju Eunnam General Industrial Complex is a large-scale project jointly developed by GH and Yangju City in northern Gyeonggi Province. It will feature a manufacturing and logistics-centered multifunctional industrial area on a 990,000 square meter site. With the goal of completion set for 2027 and the supply of industrial land now in full swing, renewable energy design can be incorporated from the initial stages of factory construction, creating the optimal environment for establishing an RE100-based complex.

Kim Yongjin, President of GH, remarked, "The Yangju Eunnam Industrial Complex is the first RE100 industrial complex in northern Gyeonggi Province that GH is focusing on. Through this guideline, we have laid the foundation for tenant companies to systematically prepare for RE100 from the early stages of their projects."
