Gwangju Employers Federation to Hold Integrated New Year's Gathering with 10 Regional Economic Organizations
January 2 Next Year at Kim Daejung Convention Center Multipurpose Hall
The Gwangju Employers Federation announced on November 27 that, together with 10 economic organizations from Gwangju and Jeonnam (as co-hosts), it will hold the "2026 Labor-Management-Government Integrated New Year's Gathering."
The New Year's event, scheduled for January 2 of next year, will take place in the multipurpose hall on the first floor of the Kim Daejung Convention Center. The gathering will begin with a breakfast and a "Sharing Hope Rice Cake Soup" event, followed by the main program. The agenda includes New Year's addresses, congratulatory remarks and toasts from the heads of major organizations, and a commemorative group photo.
This New Year's gathering is jointly hosted by 10 economic organizations from the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions. In previous years, around 20 associations, organizations, and institutions in the region held separate events, but next year the Gwangju Employers Federation and the 10 economic organizations of Gwangju and Jeonnam will hold a joint event, aiming to reduce each institution's budget and promote unity within the business community.
The co-hosting associations and organizations are the Gwangju Employers Federation, Gwangju City Architects Association, Gwangju-Jeonnam Venture Business Association, Gwangju-Jeonnam Women Venture Association, Korea Specialty Contractors Association Gwangju Chapter, INNOBIZ Association Gwangju-Jeonnam Branch, Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business Convergence Gwangju-Jeonnam Alliance, Federation of Korean Trade Unions Gwangju Regional Headquarters, Korea International Trade Association Gwangju-Jeonnam Headquarters, and Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association Gwangju Branch.
Next year's joint New Year's gathering will be the first event of its kind held nationwide in a local region, with over 2,000 participants expected, including member companies and heads of organizations from Gwangju and Jeonnam, as well as figures from the political sector.
