The goal is to vitalize the system semiconductor industry ecosystem and promote business clustering by supporting technology matching between supply and demand companies, facilitating joint research and development (R&D) collaborations, and encouraging technology exchange.
This 'K-Fabless Tech Forum' was held as part of the alliance initiative, with global EDA and IP companies such as Arm Korea, Synopsys Korea, Siemens EDA Korea, and Cadence Korea participating to present key technology trends, including AI-based design technologies and next-generation IP. Through this, domestic fabless companies shared the latest technology trends and expanded opportunities for collaboration with global leading companies.
At the subsequent '3rd Fabless Day Ceremony,' 16 individuals who contributed to the development of the domestic fabless industry were awarded commendations from the Deputy Prime Minister, relevant ministers, the Mayor of Seongnam, and the association president.
Shin Sangjin, Mayor of Seongnam, stated, "The Seongnam System Semiconductor Alliance is an exemplary model where industry, academia, research, and government work closely together to drive technological innovation and the expansion of the industrial ecosystem," adding, "With this Tech Forum as a starting point, we will actively support domestic companies in expanding cooperation with global technology partners and ensure that Seongnam becomes the core hub of Korea's system semiconductor industry."
