Gimhae City Obtains ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certification in Water Supply Sector
Gimhae City in Gyeongnam announced on November 26 that it has obtained ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) certification, the international standard for occupational health and safety, in the water supply sector.
ISO 45001 is an international standard for the prevention of industrial accidents. Certification is granted only after a rigorous assessment of whether a system has been established to identify and manage risk factors throughout all work processes.

View original imageThe city’s Waterworks Division stated that it has improved its occupational health and safety management by strengthening on-site safety inspections, conducting regular risk assessments, expanding worker education and training, and refining emergency response systems.
As a result, the city was recognized for its outstanding efforts in ensuring worker safety and systematically managing risk factors during the operation of major water facilities such as reservoirs and booster stations.
