Partial Amendment to Parking Lot Ordinance Passes Standing Committee
Assemblywoman Suyoung Kim of Gwangju Seo-gu District announced that the “Partial Amendment Ordinance to the Gwangju Metropolitan City Seo-gu Parking Lot Ordinance,” which she proposed at the 336th regular session, passed the relevant standing committee on the 26th.
Through this amendment, the free parking time at traditional markets will be extended from the current 20 minutes to 30 minutes, and a new full-day regular parking fee will be introduced.
Kim stated, “Traditional markets are the foundation of the local economy, but their lack of accessibility and convenience has undermined their competitiveness. This amendment is a practical support measure to make it easier for people to visit the markets and stay longer.”
