Panstar Group Chairman Kim Hyunkyom Wins Busan Tourism Award
Kim Hyunkyom, Chairman of Panstar Group, who has pioneered maritime routes in Busan, has finally been honored with a prestigious award in the tourism sector.
On the 25th, Chairman Kim received the Busan Tourism Award at the 25th Tourism Day ceremony held at the Nongshim Hotel in Oncheon-dong, Dongnae District, in recognition of his contributions to the development of the tourism industry.

View original imageSince 2002, Chairman Kim has operated a national ferry on the Busan-Osaka route and was the first to introduce the concept of cruises, helping to attract foreign tourists, including Japanese visitors. Over the past 24 years, more than 1.5 million passengers have traveled on this route.
Since 2004, he has operated the Busan One Night Cruise on weekends, which has become one of Busan's leading marine tourism products, attracting about 15,000 visitors annually.
In April of this year, Chairman Kim launched the Panstar Miracle, a five-star hotel-class cruise ferry built with domestic technology, leading the way in upgrading ship travel. Recently, he also introduced the Panstar Grace, a top-class 2,500-ton cruise ship, ushering in a new era of high-end coastal cruises in Busan.
He has also partnered with Italy's Costa Cruises to operate authentic cruise services departing from Busan and traveling to destinations such as Japan and Taiwan, driving the popularization of cruises and the development of related industries.
