Jeju Special Self-Governing Province will open an experiential offline store to foster the cosmetics industry. This hub aims to enhance the brand image of cosmetics made with Jeju’s pure ingredients and to expand their sales channels.

On November 29 at 4 p.m., Jeju Province will hold the opening ceremony for the 'Jeju Experiential Beauty Lounge' on Chilsung-ro in Jeju City.

This project is part of the 'Jeju Green Bio Industry Innovation Growth Plan' announced in February this year. To foster and globalize the local cosmetics industry, Jeju has established an offline store that links experiential activities with tourism.

For this initiative, Jeju Province has continuously communicated with local cosmetics company representatives to understand their needs and promote collaboration.

The Beauty Lounge consists of exhibition and sales spaces, as well as experiential zones.

The exhibition and sales areas will feature a pop-up zone showcasing basic cosmetics made with Jeju’s pure ingredients, display stands, and a gift set zone. The experiential area will include a skin diagnosis experience zone using smart mirrors and precision diagnostic devices, a makeup booth, a cleansing zone, and a photo zone.

Thirty local cosmetics companies will participate in the Beauty Lounge. They will exhibit and sell products made with Jeju’s pure ingredients, and visitors can experience skin diagnosis using smart mirrors. On weekends, beauty class programs such as makeup and aromatherapy will also be offered.

The store will operate from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., closing one day a week, and will be open year-round. Full operations will begin immediately after the opening ceremony.

Jeju Province plans to develop the Beauty Lounge as a core K-beauty space that combines tourism and experiential activities to revitalize the old city center. It is expected to serve as an offline promotional hub where companies and consumers can meet directly, thereby raising the brand awareness of Jeju cosmetics.

Products that receive a positive response in the store will be developed as promotional items for Jeju cosmetics and used at diplomatic events and official functions both inside and outside the province.

Kim Namjin, Director of the Innovation Industry Bureau of Jeju Province, said, "The Jeju Experiential Beauty Lounge will not only revitalize the Jeju cosmetics industry but also bring new vitality to the local economy. I hope this opening ceremony will serve as a meaningful occasion to showcase the future vision of Jeju’s cosmetics industry."
