[Today's New Product] Cup Noodle-Style Soup Rice... Lotte Wellfood Launches "Meal Theory Jin-guk"
Full-scale Entry into the Cup Rice Market with "Meal Theory Jin-guk"
Featuring Beef Seaweed Soup Rice, Dried Pollack Soup Rice, and Beef Bone Soup Rice
Lotte Wellfood announced on November 24 that it has launched the cup rice brand "Meal Theory Jin-guk." "Meal Theory Jin-guk" differentiates itself from conventional cup rice products, which require heating and mixing instant rice with sauce, by offering a cup noodle-style soup rice. Its main feature is convenience-cooking is completed simply by adding hot water.
"Meal Theory Jin-guk" means "soup rice made with sincerity" and is available in three varieties: "Beef Seaweed Soup Rice," "Dried Pollack Soup Rice," and "Beef Bone Soup Rice." By simply adding boiling water and waiting three minutes, consumers can enjoy a hearty meal with rich ingredients and deep broth flavor. The company explained that the product is suitable as a hangover remedy for office workers, as a convenient meal for single-person households who find cooking cumbersome, and as an easy meal option for outdoor activities such as travel or camping.

Unlike the conventional combination of retort sauce pouches, dehydrated ingredient soup, and instant rice, the product is made with a real soup block and healthy triple grains (brown rice, barley, and white rice).
"Beef Seaweed Soup Rice" delivers a homemade taste by highlighting the flavors of beef and seaweed. "Dried Pollack Soup Rice" features pieces of dried pollack for a refreshing and mildly spicy flavor. "Beef Bone Soup Rice" emphasizes a savory, meaty aroma with beef bone broth and beef pieces. All three products contain less than 200 kcal, making them a light option for a late-night snack or a simple meal.
