Cheongyang County in South Chungcheong Province has surpassed 300 million won in donations for the Hometown Love Donation Program this year, marking the third consecutive year that donations have exceeded 300 million won. The rapid achievement of this goal is attributed to region-specific designated donation projects and the strong trust of donors nationwide.
The county announced on the 21st that the amount raised for the Hometown Love Donation Program this year has exceeded 300 million won.
According to the county, after reaching 200 million won in August, an additional 100 million won was collected in just three months, showing a rapid growth trend. A total of 2,234 donors participated.
The county explained that this result reflects the continued interest in and trust toward Cheongyang.
In particular, designated donation projects for 2025-such as support for the Jeongsan elementary, middle, and high school table tennis teams, free meals at senior centers, and restoration of flood damage-received enthusiastic responses from donors and played a major role in expanding fundraising.
With this achievement, the county has set a meaningful record of surpassing 300 million won in Hometown Love Donations for three consecutive years.
The county stated that this once again proves its contribution not only to revitalizing the local economy but also to spreading a culture of sharing.
Kim Dongon, the county governor, said, "Surpassing 300 million won for three consecutive years is the result of the warm hearts of many people who love their hometown. The valuable donations will be used efficiently for projects that enhance Cheongyang’s future and the happiness of our residents."
Meanwhile, at the 'Hometown Love Donation Program Return Gift Selection Committee' held on the 18th, Cheongyang County selected four new return gifts for 2026, including accommodation discount vouchers for Chilgapsan NH Hotel.
