Gyeonggi-do Fire Academy Designated as Emergency Medical Instructor Training Institution
Gyeonggi-do Fire Academy has become the first among the nine regional fire academies nationwide to be designated as an "Emergency Medical Instructor Training Institution."
Emergency medical instructors are responsible for providing on-site emergency care training to firefighters. They guide advanced emergency medical activities, standardize on-site protocols, and manage the overall quality of emergency medical services.
They are regarded as key personnel in raising the standard of pre-hospital emergency care.
Gyeonggi-do Fire Academy offers specialized training for emergency medical personnel with at least eight years of field experience or those who have completed a specialized course. The academy aims to train a total of 100 emergency medical instructors by 2027. Currently, 179 instructors are active within the province.
