View original imageOn November 19, the Korea Manhwa Contents Agency’s labor and management adopted the "Joint Declaration for Labor-Management Win-Win Cooperation."
The declaration includes a commitment by both parties to reflect on issues that have arisen during the agency’s operations, restore trust, ensure transparent management, and establish a healthy public institution culture.
It contains five key articles: establishing an organizational culture based on mutual respect and trust; operating systems in a transparent and fair manner; guaranteeing the dignity of workers and improving working conditions; contributing to industry development by sharing vision and core values; and strengthening public interest through fair and transparent management.
Paek Jonghun, President of the Korea Manhwa Contents Agency, stated, "We hope this will serve as a turning point for restoring trust and fostering cooperation between labor and management," adding, "We will grow into an institution trusted by the public, based on a fair and healthy organizational culture."
Lee Taeyoung and Kim Daejin, union leaders, said, "We will work together to restore the trust that was broken by past unfair management practices and ensure that such issues do not recur," expressing hope that "this declaration will mark a new beginning for the normalization of the agency and for Bucheon City and the comics industry."

Simultaneously with the declaration ceremony, the agency launched a "Labor-Management System Improvement Task Force." The agency plans to continuously pursue improvement tasks to establish a transparent and fair organizational culture.
