In particular, there was positive progress on two key issues that had been major obstacles to business activities: the transfer of ownership in the 5th Industrial Complex and the review of reasonable adjustments to wastewater treatment costs.
One company representative who attended the meeting welcomed the news that "the ownership of certain areas in the 5th Industrial Complex will be transferred to companies by the end of this year," and requested continued efforts so that companies can trust and operate in Gumi City.
Regarding the issue of wastewater treatment costs, which had been higher in the 5th Industrial Complex compared to the 1st to 4th complexes, Gumi City provided companies with a detailed explanation of the reasons and causes, and gave a positive response by stating, "We will review ways to provide support at reasonable costs in the future."
Council members Lee Jiyeon, Kim Geunhan, Shin Yongha, and Jung Jiweon unanimously emphasized, "Delays in the development of the 5th Industrial Complex, which is the largest industrial complex in the country, result in business losses for companies, so it is important to prioritize resolving corporate difficulties."
