"Daejeon Station Area Development Project Briefing Session" to Be Held at Woosong Arts Center on the 19th
Targeting 923,639 Square Meters of Outdated Station Area in Jeong-dong and Soje-dong
Daejeon City is taking its first step together with citizens regarding the direction and plans for the Daejeon Station Area Development Project.
On November 19 at 4:30 p.m., Daejeon City will hold a "Daejeon Station Area Development Project Briefing Session" at the Woosong Arts Center.
This briefing session, held ahead of the full-scale launch of the project, will serve as an opportunity to share the current status and future plans. It is co-hosted by Daejeon City and Daejeon Station Area Development PFV Co., Ltd., with Mayor Lee Jangwoo of Daejeon, representatives from Daejeon Station Area Development PFV Co., Ltd., local assembly members, Korea Railroad Corporation, related organizations, the local construction industry, the Merchants Association, and residents all expected to attend.
The Daejeon Station Area Development Project aims to transform the outdated station area, covering 923,639 square meters in Jeong-dong and Soje-dong of Dong-gu, into a mixed-use urban complex combining residential, office, commercial, and accommodation facilities. The main components include the development of Complex Zone 2, the creation of Chungcheong Mega Square, and private redevelopment projects.
This plan goes beyond simple physical improvements, aiming to revitalize the old downtown area, boost the local commercial district, and establish a hub that will elevate Daejeon as a center of transportation, culture, and economy.
