Fire Breaks Out at Yeongheung Thermal Power Plant in Incheon... Level 1 Response Issued, Firefighting Underway
At approximately 7:59 a.m. on November 16, a fire broke out at the Yeongheung Thermal Power Plant in Ongjin County, Incheon, and the fire department is currently working to extinguish it.
The fire is believed to have started in the building housing the conveyor belt connection passageway, and so far, no casualties have been reported.

At around 8:11 a.m., the fire department evacuated personnel from inside the facility and issued a "Level 1 Response," an alert that mobilizes all personnel from the local fire station, about 20 minutes after the fire broke out. Firefighting efforts are ongoing.
