Hana Bank Launches "Hana The Next Wearable Robot Service"
Collaboration with Angel Robotics
Launch of a Senior-Tailored "Finance + Healthcare" Integrated Service
Hana Bank announced on November 14 that it launched the senior-exclusive "Hana The Next Wearable Robot Service" at the Hana The Next Seocho-dong Lounge on November 13.
This service, developed in partnership with Angel Robotics, South Korea's leading wearable robotics company, marks the first project to expand Hana The Next's integrated financial and non-financial life care ecosystem into the health tech sector. It aims to strengthen customized financial support for seniors by offering experiences with "medical wearable robots" that assist with walking, combined with financial consultations on retirement planning, inheritance, and gifting.
The newly introduced "Hana The Next Wearable Robot Service" is the first on-site implementation following the "Joint Discovery of Future Strategic Industries through the Convergence of Robotics and Finance" business agreement signed in September between Hana Financial Group and Angel Robotics to expand productive finance. It provides a senior-tailored life care experience by merging finance and health tech.
In line with the launch of the "Hana The Next Wearable Robot Service," Hana Bank held a pilot program on November 13 at the Hana The Next Seocho-dong Lounge, where senior customers could directly wear and experience the "Angel Suit H10," a hip joint assistive wearable robot designed for rehabilitation purposes.
This initiative offers an opportunity to access high-cost medical equipment, typically available only in large hospitals, outside of a hospital setting. Seniors can receive motion analysis and customized exercise feedback from professional physical therapists in this space.
To mark the first anniversary of the launch of Hana Financial Group’s senior-focused brand "Hana The Next," Hana Bank will host three experiential events, starting from November 13 and continuing on November 20 (Thursday) and November 27 (Thursday). Any Hana Bank customer can apply through the Hana The Next website or by making a reservation via ARS consultation.
Through the launch of this service, Hana Bank plans to continue expanding senior-customized services to lead productive finance and the senior-friendly industry by supporting benefits for purchasing wearable robots, expanding financial service areas related to robotics, and developing specialized financial products for the mid- to long-term.
