Truck Plows Into Bucheon Jeil Market: 21 Hospitalized Including 3 in Cardiac Arrest
At around 10:55 a.m. on November 13, a truck driven by a man in his 60s, identified as Mr. A, veered onto the sidewalk at Jeil Market in Wonjong-dong, Ojeong-gu, Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province. According to Yonhap News Agency, three women in their 70s and 80s were found in cardiac arrest at the scene, and a total of 21 people, including these women and nine others with serious injuries, were transported to hospitals by 119 emergency responders.
After receiving a report that "a truck rushed onto the sidewalk," fire authorities dispatched approximately 20 vehicles and over 60 personnel to the scene and are currently taking emergency measures. Mr. A reportedly told the police at the scene, "I pressed the brakes, but they did not work."
The accident vehicle reportedly traveled about 100 meters through the traditional market before crashing into a nearby store and coming to a stop.

A police official stated, "There may be additional casualties," adding, "The driver was not seriously injured and has been taken to the police station for questioning."
