Osan Selected as Outstanding Local Government for Local Currency Operation... Secures 670 Million Won in National Funding
5% Additional Incentive for Osaekjeon Payments Starting November 17
On November 12, the city of Osan in Gyeonggi Province announced that it had been selected as an "Outstanding Local Government for Local Currency Operation" in an evaluation by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, securing 675 million won in national funding.
This evaluation was conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for local governments nationwide that received national funding. The city received high marks in key categories such as excellent execution rate of national funds, expansion of issuance volume, and operational performance, earning its place as an outstanding local government.
The city will use the additional national funding to launch the "Osaekjeon Additional Incentive Payment" event from November 17 to December 31.
During this event, an additional 5% of the payment amount will be provided when using local currency, with a maximum incentive limit of 100,000 won per person. The validity period for the incentive is until December 31. However, the event may end early if the budget is exhausted.
Citizens can enjoy up to a 15% discount benefit by combining the existing 10% recharge incentive with the 5% payment incentive. For example, if a citizen recharges and uses 1 million won with Osaekjeon, they can receive benefits totaling 150,000 won.
