The defending champion is Rafael Campos (Puerto Rico).
The player attracting the most attention this year is Brennan. With the top-ranked players absent, he enters as the highest-ranked competitor at world No. 40. He has made headlines with his remarkable story this season. After receiving a sponsor's invitation, he claimed his first-ever victory at the Bank of Utah Championship (total prize fund: 6 million dollars) on October 26.

Brennan turned professional last year. This season, he won three times on PGA Tour Americas (the third-tier tour), finishing as the money leader and earning promotion to the Korn Ferry Tour (the second-tier tour) for next year. However, by winning the Bank of Utah Championship, he secured his PGA Tour card directly, bypassing the need to compete on the Korn Ferry Tour. Riding this recent surge, he is now aiming for the second win of his career.
