DB HiTek Reports Provisional Q3 Sales of 374.7 Billion Won and Operating Profit of 80.6 Billion Won
Sales up 30%, Operating Profit up 71% Year-on-Year
On November 10, DB HiTek announced that its consolidated sales for the third quarter reached 374.7 billion won, with operating profit at 80.6 billion won, according to provisional figures. These represent year-on-year increases of 30% and 71%, respectively. The operating margin stood at 22%.
The company explained that, as in the previous quarter, the continued increase in demand for power semiconductors had a positive impact on its performance. Among application fields, sales growth for industrial use was particularly notable.
DB HiTek stated, "We plan to further strengthen our business foundation by enhancing our technological competitiveness in power semiconductors-focusing on high-value-added and high-growth products-while also expanding overseas operations and pursuing new businesses."
DB HiTek is Korea's first dedicated foundry for system semiconductors. In 2008, it developed the world's first 0.18-micrometer (um) BCDMOS (Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS) process technology. The company serves over 400 customers in China, Taiwan, Japan, the United States, and other countries, and is recognized globally for its competitiveness in the power semiconductor sector. Notably, foundry companies like DB HiTek, which support the design of all power semiconductor products from low voltage (5V) to high voltage (1200V), are extremely rare worldwide.
