Expansion of Expressway Entrance Ramp from One Lane to Two Lanes
Wonju City in Gangwon Province, together with Korea Expressway Corporation, will promote the expansion of the entrance lanes to Namwonju Interchange (IC) on the Jungang Expressway by the end of this year.

View original imageCurrently, the entrance ramp to Namwonju Interchange, which is managed by Korea Expressway Corporation, operates with only one lane. As a result, congestion frequently occurs on Bukwon-ro, the access road, during rush hours and weekends, causing significant inconvenience to many residents.
In response, reflecting the continuous requests from citizens for improvement, Wonju City asked Korea Expressway Corporation to expand the entrance. Korea Expressway Corporation has decided to invest 800 million won to widen the entrance ramp from one lane to two lanes.
