Second Consecutive Night of Search... Two Missing from Ulsan Thermal Power Plant Still Not Found
Nighttime search operations to locate the two missing individuals trapped in the Ulsan Thermal Power Plant boiler tower collapse have continued for a second consecutive night, but their whereabouts remain unknown.
On the morning of the 8th, fire authorities announced that throughout the night, they deployed about 40 rescue personnel in teams of five, rotating every 30 minutes. They also used drones, thermal imaging detectors, and endoscopic cameras to search the site, but have not yet located the missing individuals.

Fire authorities explained that the steel structures of the collapsed boiler tower are intricately entangled, and they are continuously discussing efficient search and rescue strategies with experts, including structural safety engineers.
On the third day since the accident, fire authorities are continuing to deploy personnel inside the structure to carry out search and rescue operations.

However, fire authorities stated that Boiler Towers No. 4 and No. 6, located on either side of the collapsed No. 5 tower, are also at risk of collapse, making rescue activities more difficult.
