Police Clear Park Soo-hong of 'Blackmailing Food Company CEO' Allegations
Broadcaster Park Soo-hong (55) has been cleared by police of allegations that he blackmailed the CEO of a food company, referred to as Mr. A.
On November 7, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that on October 20, it had decided not to refer Park to prosecutors, concluding that there was "no suspicion" regarding the blackmail allegations.
Mr. A had filed a complaint against Park in July, claiming that Park, who was in a legal dispute with him, "used his celebrity status to threaten" him.
Previously, in September 2023, Park filed a civil lawsuit against Mr. A, seeking 496 million won in unpaid advertising model fees. The trial is still ongoing.
