Busan Office of Education Launches Tailored Consulting to Strengthen Employment Capabilities at Vocational High Schools
Consulting Program Targets 38 Schools Throughout November
Focus on NCS-Based Curriculum and On-Site Training
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) will conduct a "Consulting Program for Vocational High School Support Projects" throughout November.
This consulting program aims to strengthen students' employment capabilities and increase employment rates by providing tailored support to vocational high schools in the Busan area.
The consulting will target a total of 38 schools, including 4 Meister high schools, 32 specialized high schools, 1 technical high school, and 1 industrial high school.
The main areas of focus are the National Competency Standards (NCS)-based curriculum, the vocational high school credit system, operation of on-site training, management of laboratory and practice equipment, and occupational safety and health management.
For the commercial track (16 schools), on-site consulting will be provided directly at each school to listen to the current status and challenges, and to seek customized support measures for each institution.
An expert group composed of officials from the Office of Education, vocational high school administrators, and responsible teachers will visit the schools to inspect the operation of laboratory and practice equipment and to support the implementation of education that meets the needs of the industrial field.
Through this consulting program, the Office of Education plans to strengthen the autonomous operation capabilities of each school, enhance the efficiency of project management, establish laboratory/practice environments and safety management systems, and promote the establishment of learning-centered on-site training.
In addition, the Office of Education will work to solidify the foundation for nurturing talent that meets the demands of local industries and accelerate efforts to strengthen the competitiveness of vocational high schools by increasing employment rates.
