Enhancing Everyday Safety... Busan Urban Corporation Supports 'Customized Fire Safety Equipment for Elderly Residents'
Installation of Throwable Fire Extinguishers and Emergency Lighting Devices
Completed in 150 Households, Expansion Planned
Busan Urban Corporation (BMC, President Shin Changho) has implemented a customized fire safety equipment distribution project to prevent fire damage and ensure the safety of residents.
This initiative goes beyond simply providing supplies; it aims to create a residential environment where residents can independently respond to disasters.
The corporation distributed throwable fire extinguishers that are easy to use to residents aged 80 or older, who may have difficulty responding quickly in the event of a fire, and installed emergency lighting devices in households with complex evacuation routes.
By October, installation had been completed for approximately 150 households, and the corporation plans to gradually expand support to additional recipients in the future.
In addition, residents were provided with instructions on how to use the fire safety equipment and guidelines on what actions to take in the event of a fire, in an effort to raise safety awareness in daily life.
