Eunpyeong District Offers Up to 600,000 Won Support for Eco-Friendly Home Boiler Replacement
Targeting Low-Income Households, Families with Multiple Children, and Social Welfare Facilities
On November 7, Eunpyeong District in Seoul (District Mayor Kim Mikyung) announced that it is now accepting applications for its “Eco-Friendly Boiler Installation Support Project,” which aims to reduce fine dust and improve energy efficiency.
This project was established to reduce air pollution emissions caused by old boilers and to expand the distribution of high-efficiency boilers. The main objective is to support energy-vulnerable groups, such as basic livelihood security recipients, low-income households, and social welfare facilities, in order to ease the burden of heating costs during winter and improve residential environments.
Eligible applicants include basic livelihood security recipients, low-income households, disability pension recipients, single-parent families, and low-income households with two or more children (where the youngest child is 18 years old or younger and household income is at or below 100% of the median income), as well as welfare facilities for children, the elderly, and people with disabilities. However, public institutions and public facilities are excluded from the program.
The subsidy provides up to 600,000 won per eco-friendly condensing boiler installed. Applications can be submitted in person at the Eunpyeong District Office’s Climate and Environment Division or online through the Ministry of Environment’s integrated portal, Eco Square (www.ecosq.or.kr). Applications will be accepted until the December budget is exhausted. For more information, contact the Living Environment Team of the Climate and Environment Division at Eunpyeong District Office (02-351-7638).
