Minister Kim Yoonduk Visits Ulsan Power Plant Collapse Site: "Swift Rescue of Trapped Victims Needed"
Arrived at 11 p.m., personally inspected rescue operations
On the night of the 6th, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Yoonduk made an emergency visit to the site of the demolition accident at the thermal power plant in Nam-gu, Ulsan, to directly inspect the rescue operations.
Upon receiving a report at around 2 p.m. that a collapse had occurred at the Ulsan thermal power plant demolition site, Minister Kim immediately took action. He dispatched personnel from the Technical Safety Policy Division and the Korea Infrastructure Safety and Technology Corporation to the site, and ordered the immediate deployment of rescue equipment, including cranes and excavators.
After quickly wrapping up his official schedule, Minister Kim arrived at the accident site at around 11 p.m. to check on the progress of the rescue efforts.
