Providing Students with Career Exploration Opportunities Through Unique Local Career Experience Sites
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Taehee) distributed the "Regional Linked Career Experience Education Activity Workbook" to elementary, middle, and high schools across the province on November 5.

View original imageThis workbook was developed to guide students in exploring careers by providing information on unique local career experience sites, including universities, museums, public institutions, and power plants.
Forty-two teachers from the Gyeonggi Career Experience Support Group identified career experience sites in 16 elementary and 23 secondary regions, and developed two-session educational activities for each site that can be incorporated into the curriculum.
Main topics include: ▲Children's Media Exploration Team ▲Behind the Stage: Finding My Career ▲Leaders of the Sky: Aircraft Pilots ▲Future Agriculture Exploration Team, among others. The workbook introduces a variety of career experience sites in fields such as media, culture and arts, and emerging industries.
