Aliexpress Opens Pop-Up Store in Seongsu-dong Ahead of Singles' Day
"11-Second Cart Challenge" Goes Offline
Held in Seongsu-dong, Seoul from November 7 to 9
Aliexpress announced on November 5 that it will open an experiential pop-up store in Seongsu-dong ahead of the upcoming Singles' Day event on November 11.
This Aliexpress pop-up store will be held for three days from November 7 to 9 near Exit 3 of Seongsu-dong subway station in Seoul. The key feature is that it brings the ongoing online "11-Second Cart Challenge" into an offline space.
The 11-Second Cart Challenge, which first launched online, is a game-style event where participants pay a 111-won entry fee and try to add as many products as possible to their cart within 11 seconds. The higher the total value of the items in the cart, the greater the chance of winning, and Aliexpress will pay for and provide the winning items. Benefits totaling 1.1 billion won are available during the event period, and anyone can participate through the Aliexpress App until November 18.
Aliexpress plans to expand the fun of online shopping into an offline "experience" through this pop-up. The space, designed to match the Seongsu-dong vibe, will feature an experiential zone inspired by Aliexpress's advertising campaign concepts, offering a unique brand experience that combines vivid engagement and gamification elements.
Visitors can enjoy various content such as a game experience zone, brand exhibition zone, and on-site prize event zone. Those who show proof of participation in the online 11-Second Cart Challenge at the venue will receive special benefits when joining the on-site prize events, enjoying both online and offline integrated perks.
The Aliexpress Singles' Day sale will run from November 11 to 19. Each day, ten products will be available in limited quantities at prices of 1,111 won, 11,111 won, and 111,111 won, with discounts of up to 80% offered.
