[Today's New Release] Yeokjeon Udon Launches Japanese-Style "Fried Grilled Fish Cake Udon" in Collaboration with Chef Jang Hojun
Theborn Korea's Second Collaboration with Black-and-White Chef Jang Hojun
On November 5, Theborn Korea announced that its udon and rice bowl specialty restaurant, Yeokjeon Udon 0410 (hereafter "Yeokjeon Udon"), will launch its second collaborative menu item, "Fried Grilled Fish Cake Udon," created with the expertise of black-and-white chef Jang Hojun.
This new menu item is a Japanese-style udon topped with an entire piece of "chikuwa" (a grilled fish cake with a hole in the center), a representative Japanese fish cake, deep-fried whole. Generous portions of green onions and seaweed are added to enhance the umami flavors of the sea. In particular, the fried grilled fish cake is coated in a batter with green laver, adding a savory and chewy texture that pairs harmoniously with the udon. The katsuobushi broth, with the addition of Cheongyang chili peppers, provides a subtle spiciness and a clean, refreshing finish.
To celebrate the launch of this new menu, Yeokjeon Udon will offer four different set menus that include the "Fried Grilled Fish Cake Udon" at a discounted price of 1,000 won off from November 10 to 14.
