Applications Accepted Until November 19
"Enhancing the Quality of Childcare Services"
Jeonbuk Province has announced a public call for private organizations to be entrusted with the operation of the Jeonbuk Childcare Support Center, aiming to ensure efficient management and enhance the quality of childcare services.
According to the provincial government on November 3, this open call has been initiated to leverage the expertise of specialized institutions, improve the quality of center operations, and promote the sustainable development of local childcare services.
The Jeonbuk Childcare Support Center serves as a key hub for local childcare support, undertaking roles such as collecting and providing childcare information, offering consulting and guidance on the establishment and operation of daycare centers, providing education and counseling for guardians and childcare staff, supporting the prevention and treatment linkage of developmental delays in infants and young children, and publishing promotional materials and reports related to childcare.
Eligible applicants include research institutes, corporations, and organizations with expertise, personnel, and facilities related to childcare. Specifically, government-funded research institutes, universities or colleges with departments related to childcare or child welfare, and non-profit corporations or organizations related to childcare that have their main office located within Jeonbuk Province are eligible to participate.
The entrusted period will be five years, from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2030. Applications must be submitted in person during working hours to the Childcare Policy Team, Social Welfare Policy Division (10th floor) at the Jeonbuk Provincial Government Office by November 19.
The review will be conducted by a selection committee composed of independent experts, who will evaluate the expertise of the center director, the operation plan, relevant work performance, and contributions to regional development. Both document screening and interview evaluations will be conducted, with a total score of 100 points. The results will be released through the provincial government website.
Hwang Cheolho, Director of Welfare, Women, and Health at Jeonbuk Province, stated, "Through this public call for private entrustment, we will select an institution that combines expertise and public service, and provide high-quality childcare support services that residents can truly experience."
