Incheon Airport Corporation Successfully Hosts Multicultural Family Integration Camp
Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on November 2 that it successfully hosted the "Gachi Village Family Outing," an integrated camp inviting multicultural families residing in Korea, as part of its multicultural social contribution initiatives.
This event, held on November 1 at the corporation's Aviation Training Center, is part of the company's three major strategic directions for responsible management. It serves as an integrated exchange event encompassing all families participating in the multicultural social contribution program.
The event was attended by approximately 300 people from 50 families with migration backgrounds from 10 countries, including Vietnam, the Philippines, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Cambodia, China, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Russia, who reside in the Incheon and Gyeonggi regions, as well as executives and employees of Incheon International Airport Corporation, including Shin Gakyun, Head of the Management Division.

View original imageThe event featured a variety of interactive programs designed to foster communication and exchange among families, including making a family motto scroll, a family photo studio, networking missions, traditional games, and experience booths.
Choi Maria, a 42-year-old marriage migrant from Uzbekistan who participated in the event, shared, "It was a time for my parents, spouse, and children-three generations-to strengthen our family bond through various experiences together. I am also happy to have met other families with whom I can keep in touch like friends even after the family camp."
For this event, the corporation accepted applications from families participating in its ongoing multicultural social contribution programs, and selected 50 families from diverse migration backgrounds in cooperation with local multicultural centers and social contribution partner organizations.
This year, the corporation is conducting various social contribution programs to support the settlement of multicultural families in Korea, including: △ educational support for multicultural youth (Incheon Airport Gachi Jump), △ a program inviting parents of multicultural families, △ support for multicultural single-parent families, and △ projects to improve the living environment for multicultural families.

Lee Hakjae, President of Incheon International Airport Corporation, stated, "As the operator of Korea's gateway airport, we plan to expand various support programs so that multicultural families can settle in Korean society and feel a sense of belonging."
